How it’s calculated
- Daily wage = monthly wage ÷ 30.
- Gratuity = daily wage × 21 days (or the agreed higher rate) × years of service.
- Part years count in proportion.

- The amount is agreed between the parties but cannot be less than three weeks’ wage per year.
- Claims arising from the contract may lapse one year after the contract ends, so claim promptly.
